Molecular distillation is a continuous process under vacuum, based on the different boiling points of the molecules present in a mixture to separate them by evaporation/condensation. This physical separation method is well suited for the purification of highly heat-sensitive molecules under mild, solvent-free conditions. Short-path distillation is suitable for the fractionation of marine and vegetable oils and synthetic raw materials, to concentrate, purify, decontaminate* (*Elimination of phthalates through molecular distillation) or deodorize.
