EPA

L’EPA ( eïcosapentaénoïque ) fait partie de la famille des acides gras oméga-3 à chaîne longue plus communément appelés acides gras-polyinsaturés. Cet acides gras est présent dans les poissons gras et dans certaines microalgues. Tout comme le DHA sa synthèse à partir de l’ALA ( acide alpha-linoléique, présent dans les végétaux type lin, capeline et colza) est très faible, d’où l’intérêt d’une supplémentation en EPA.

Where to find them?

The EPA can be found in different forms. EPA is naturally present in fish such as anchovies, mackerel, sardines and herring. It is also found in the oils or powders of fish and microalgae. It can easily be incorporated into various types of products:

  • Food supplements: softgels, capsules, tablets, syrup, gummies, stick of powders to be diluted…
  • Functional foods: cereal bars, dairy products, margarines, seasoning oils, beverages, etc.
