Created in 1994, POLARIS was recognized for its expertise as regards research, production and formulation of nutritional lipids. POLARIS developed a patent on the natural enrichment of rich in EPA and DHA Omega 3 fatty acids fish oils that aroused the interest of EPAX, Norwegian world leading supplier of highly concentrated marine based Omega-3 EPA, DHA fatty acids. The compagny has been manufacturing and developing marine based Omega-3 fatty acids for more than 170 years.
The sharing of common values and the complementary skills of both companies naturally made them develop their partnership. This is how POLARIS became the exclusive partner of EPAX quality fish oils in France, Spain and Portugal.

Fish are caught in pure oceanic zones (Chile, Peru) and are freshly handled in order to guarantee optimal quality and purity. Fish are selected according to their content in omega 3s.
EPAX AS has a long term agrement with peruvian cride oil supplier Austral group SAA, to ensure an ongoing sustainably sourced raw material :
· 10 % of the Peruvian anchovies quotae
· 6 factories along the Peruvian coast

Efficient state-of-the art purification technologies result in oils guaranteed to meet or exceed purity standards such as the European Pharmacopoeia and the GOED Voluntary Monograph. The production specifications are also set at the lowest limits in the industry for trans fats and unhealthy oxidative by-products.
