Created in 1994, POLARIS was recognized for its expertise as regards research, production and formulation of nutritional lipids. POLARIS developed a patent on the natural enrichment of rich in EPA and DHA Omega 3 fatty acids fish oils that aroused the interest of EPAX AS, world Norwegian leader of rich in omega 3s marine oils for more than 150 years.
The sharing of common values and the complementary skills of both companies naturally made them develop their partnership. This is how POLARIS became the exclusive partner of EPAX quality fish oils in France, Spain and Portugal.

Fish are caught in virgin of any industry oceanic zones (Chile, Peru) and are freshly handled in order to guarantee optimal quality and purity. Fish are selected according to their content in omega 3s.
EPAX belongs to the Austevoll Seafood ASA International Fishery group which is one of the fish oil world leading producers:
· 10 % of the Peruvian anchovies quotae
· 6 factories along the Peruvian coast
· a production about 80 000 MT fish oil.
The politics of EPAX-POLARIS is a 0 contaminant quality policy. The state-of-the-art manufacturing processes are conceived to respect the industry maximal limits while respecting the parameters of oxidation.
Residual pollutants in fish oils are eliminated by technical processes.
EPAX leads a politics of vertical integration: all the ingredients are checked and tracked from the raw material up to the final Omega 3 ingredient. Traceability is assured from A to Z. All the Epax® oils benefit from a patented process of purification. This process allows to eliminate not only the PCBs and dioxins but also the numerous residues of organochlorinated pesticides as HCB, HCH, lindane, DDT …found in some crude oils.
The limits of controls of the Epax® oils are 10 to 20 times stricter than those set down by the Responsible Council of Nutrition European authorities for all the environmental pollutants. It allows to guarantee a maximal quality and the highest degree of purity of oils.
